UPS
Uninterruptible power supplies and batteries that keep server, network and security systems running during a power outage. For critical loads, we recommend an online UPS, which also filters out grid fluctuations.

Power distribution
Rack PDUs that distribute power to the devices inside the rack. We choose them for the rack’s needs, from basic models to smart PDUs that meter consumption and can switch outlets on and off remotely. For servers with dual power supplies, we plan a PDU layout fed from two separate lines.

Environmental monitoring
Sensors and monitoring devices that track temperature and humidity, water leaks, smoke and door openings in server rooms and racks. When a value crosses its limit, they send an alert by email or SMS, depending on the model.

We start UPS selection not from the power rating in the catalog but from the list of devices to be connected. Total load, the required backup time and room for growth are calculated together, and the number of batteries follows from this. We also choose PDUs and environmental monitoring products by the number of racks and the server room layout, and where possible bring all alarms onto a single monitoring screen. When batteries in an existing UPS are replaced, they must suit the UPS model.

Frequently asked questions
What size UPS (kVA) do I need?
UPS capacity is set by the total consumption of the devices to be connected plus room for growth. First, the devices’ watt ratings are added up, converted to VA with the UPS power factor, and a margin is left so the UPS does not run at full capacity. How long it lasts in an outage is set by battery capacity, not by kVA. Send us your device list and we will do the calculation with you.
What does a smart PDU do?
A smart PDU meters power consumption in the rack and makes it visible over the network. Depending on the model, you can see consumption per outlet, power-cycle a frozen device remotely and get an alarm on overload. It is used to plan rack capacity and to act without going on site.
Why use temperature and humidity sensors in a rack?
A room thermostat does not show hot spots inside the rack. A sensor placed in the rack measures the air the devices actually breathe and warns you about a cooling failure before the devices shut down. Humidity measurement helps you spot condensation and static electricity risks early.
