Security Systems

An integrated security system is an electronic security solution that combines cameras, access control, intrusion alarms, perimeter security and fire detection in one structure that is monitored from a single center and where each system responds to the others. We do not install the systems separately; we install them to work together when an incident happens.

WHAT IT DELIVERS

What it adds to your building

  • 01

    One screen, one picture.

The operator does not search separate screens for the alarm, the camera and the door status. What the incident is, where it is and what it looks like come up on the same screen.

  • 02

Systems respond together during an incident.

When a perimeter sensor is triggered, the related camera turns to that point, recording starts and an alarm comes in at the monitoring center. Nobody has to remember to do anything.

  • 03

    Fewer false alarms.

Verifying an alarm with camera footage reduces unnecessary response. The operator focuses on real incidents.

  • 04

    A structure that can grow.

When a new building, door or system is added, the central structure stays the same. Systems built on open protocols also run different brands side by side.

SCOPE

What is included?

Components an integrated security project can include:

  • Intrusion alarm system: motion detectors, magnetic contacts, glass break sensors, panel and siren
  • Perimeter security: fence sensors, beam barriers and cameras with analytics
  • IP camera system and video management software (VMS)
  • Access control, turnstiles, barriers and license plate recognition
  • Panic buttons and intercom
  • Integration with the fire detection system
  • PSIM or central security management software
  • Monitoring center: operator desk, video wall, incident logs
  • Dedicated network and UPS power infrastructure for security systems

PROCESS

How we build it

  1. Risk assessment and site survey

We inspect the facility on site and map the areas to protect, entry points, the perimeter line and existing systems. We decide with you what to install against which risk.

  2. Scenario design

For each incident we answer “what happens next”: which sensor triggers which camera, which alarm is sent to whom, which door locks or opens.

  3. Installation

Installation of sensors, cameras, door hardware, panels and the monitoring center.

  4. Integration and testing

We combine the systems in the management software and test every scenario by triggering it on site, one by one.

  5. Operator training and maintenance

We train operators in incident management and set up the scheduled maintenance and test plan with you.

TECHNICAL NOTES

What we look at in the design

When do you need PSIM?

PSIM (physical security information management) brings security systems of different brands and types into one software platform and handles incidents with predefined steps. In single-building, single-brand projects, the integration features of the camera software are often enough. PSIM is the better fit for multi-building facilities, sites where different brands coexist, or where incident procedures must be recorded.

Perimeter security is built in layers

Instead of relying on a single sensor, a layered structure is used: vibration or cable sensors on the fence, beam barriers in open areas, and cameras with video analytics. Thermal cameras detect in darkness and fog too. To keep sensors from producing false alarms, they are adjusted and tested for wind, vegetation and animal movement.

Alarm system standard

The European standard for intrusion alarm systems is the EN 50131 series. The series defines the components and security grades of an alarm system; products and installation of the grade that matches the facility’s risk level are selected accordingly.

In most facilities, cameras, alarms and access control are installed at different times, by different companies, and do not know each other. We keep your existing systems, bring together those that can be integrated and complete what is missing.

This service sits on layer 2 of the building and is designed together with the other systems on that layer.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is an integrated security system?

An integrated security system is a structure in which systems such as cameras, access control, alarms and fire detection are monitored from one center and respond to each other. When an alarm comes in, the related camera view and door status appear on the same screen. This lets the operator assess the incident quickly.

What is PSIM and what does it do?

PSIM is a physical security information management platform that collects information from different security systems in a single software platform. It correlates incidents, shows the operator what to do step by step and records every response. It makes a difference in multi-building, multi-brand facilities.

Can CCTV, access control and fire alarms be monitored on one screen?

Yes. The systems can be monitored on one screen by connecting them to a common management software platform or PSIM. This requires the devices to support open protocols or integration modules; we check this at the start, during product selection.

What systems are used for perimeter security?

Vibration or cable sensors on the fence, beam barriers, radar and cameras with video analytics in open areas. Thermal cameras are added for dark and foggy areas. The terrain and the risk determine which ones are chosen.

Can an intrusion alarm be connected to the camera system?

Yes. Connected to the camera system, the alarm panel can bring the related camera view to the monitoring screen and start recording when an alarm occurs. This makes it possible to verify remotely whether the alarm is real.
